Contest Rules for the Paint My Horse Studios Photo Contest

Photo Submission Rules:
1. Photos must stay within the theme of Entry Categories: Best Horse in Nature Photo, Best Child and Pony Photo, Best Horse and Rider Photo, Most Playful/Funniest Horse Photo, and Funniest Horse in Costume Photo.

2. Each photo Entry is $10. There is no limit on the number of Entries you can submit, however, each unique photo must be entered into only one (1) Category. Photos submitted more than once for the same or different Categories will void such Entry.

3. Photos may contain people and other pets.

4. Photo submissions must include a paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the horse(s) in the photograph – 200 words or less.

5. All photos are subject to review by Paint My Horse Studios. Inappropriate or offensive photos will be removed.

6. By submitting your photo you agree to allow artists who are members of Paint My Horse Studios to create and sell derivitive works of art based on your photos in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to entrant or any third party.

7. OWNERSHIP/USE OF ENTRIES: By submitting an Entry, each entrant agrees Paint My Horse Studios shall own the Entry submitted (including all rights embodied therein) and that it and its designees may exploit, edit, modify, and distribute the Entry and all elements of such Entry, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to entrant or any third party.

8. By entering the contest, entrants grant Paint My Horse Studios (br3 studios, LLC) permission to utilize their name, photo and story on its website, newsletters, blog and other publications used by the organization to promote the web site, web site products, the artists, and the contest.

9. Photos must include the name of the person who took the photo, as well as those featured in the photo. Photos taken by a minor must be submitted by a legal guardian.

10. All photos must be uploaded. Sorry, we can not accept hard copies.

11. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be notified by telephone, mail and/or email. Potential Grand Prize winner will and potential First, Second and Third Prize winners may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (unless prohibited by law) and any other documents required by Sponsor, which must be returned within ten (10) business days of date appearing on prize notification. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable, failure to sign and return requested documentation within the specified time period, the inability of Sponsor to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules by any potential winner will result in disqualification and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up. If any potential winner is at least 18 but still considered a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein.

12. Contest winners will need to re-submit their photo to Paint My Horse Studios (br3 studios, LLC) as a high resolution, print quality image. If a high res image is unavailable, the next top scoring photo may be selected to take its place in the calendar.

13. We will be accepting entries and votes through midnight Sunday June 30, 2010.

14. All entry fees are non-refundable. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, terminate, or suspend the voting or void any vote should a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, action of entrant, or other cause corrupt or impair the administration, security, or fairness of the voting. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find to be violating these terms, tampering with the voting process, or acting in an unsportsmanlike or improper manner. The decision of Sponsor and judges with respect to the tabulation of votes, and the invalidation or disqualification of any suspected votes, shall be final.

15. ELIGIBILITY: Voting is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law.

Winners:
Entry Categories (5): Best Horse in Nature Photo, Best Child and Pony Photo, Best Horse and Rider Photo, Most Playful/Funniest Horse Photo, and Funniest Horse in Costume Photo.

The top three finalists (photos with the most votes) in each category will win the following:

Grand Prize:
1. An original painting by your selected Paint My Horse artist!
2. Free t-shirt featuring your photo and the final work of art that says, “I Got My Horse Painted at PaintMyHorseStudios.com!” Grand Prize Winner.
3. Feature story in our magazine about your horse, your favorite Paint My Horse Studios equine artist, and the creation of the painting
4. One year eSubscription (6 issues) to Paint My Horse Studios Magazine!

The top three finalists (photos with the most votes) in each category will win the following:

1st prize: A $100 gift certificate valid at the PaintMyHorseStudios.com online gift shop, a t-shirt featuring your photo with a First Place Ribbon, and a one year eSubscription to Paint My Horse Studios Magazine!

2nd prize: A $75 gift certificate valid at the PaintMyHorseStudios.com online gift shop, a t-shirt featuring your photo with a Second Place Ribbon, and a one year eSubscription to Paint My Horse Studios Magazine!

3rd prize: A $50 gift certificate valid at the PaintMyHorseStudios.com online gift shop, a t-shirt featuring your photo with a Third Place Ribbon, and a one year eSubscription to Paint My Horse Studios Magazine!

The Paint My Horse Photo Contest ends midnight June 30, 2010.
Winners will be tallied and announced by July 15, 2010.

Voting Rules:
1. Votes are purchased in units of 5 ($5) and may be used in units of one ($1).
2. Five votes is the minimum number of votes you can buy.
3. Feel free to promote your image around the Net to encourage voting for your horse’s photo!
